Except for the increase in new deaths in the Western Pacific Region and the European Region, the number of new deaths in other regions has decreased, and the Southeast Asian region has dropped by 27%.
The five countries that reported the most cases last week were the United States, India, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and the Philippines. There are currently 185 countries and regions infected with the delta variant.
